Hawaii UFC fighters go undefeated in Singapore

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - It's a historic weekend for mixed martial arts in Hawaii as three of Hawaii's fighters walked away with victories Saturday at UFC Fight Night in Singapore.

Max Holloway led the way with a second round TKO against Will Chope in the main event of the preliminary bouts.

With the win, the Waianae native snaps a two-fight losing streak and moves to 8-3 professionally.

In the second fight of the card, Kalani High grad Dustin Kimura defeated Jon Delos Reyes via submission in the first round.

Kimura improves to 12-1.

Honolulu's own Russell Doane made his UFC debut against Leandro Issa in the opening fight and turned in a successful outing.

Doane submitted Issa via triangle choke in the second round to boost his professional record to 13-3.
