Maui police are investigating a motorcycle accident Friday that left an 18-year-old Kihei man with life-threatening injuries.
Officials say it happened at the intersection of Piilani Highway and Kaonoulu Street at around 7:15 p.m.
A preliminary investigation reportedly showed a 48-year-old Kihei man, driving a silver sedan, was traveling north on Piilani Highway when he began to make a left turn onto Kaonoulu Street. That's when officials say the 18-year-old driving a motorcycle, collided into the car on the passenger's side.
