Hawaii rallies past Omaha for best start since '03

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - After being down by as many as nine points midway through the second half, the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors took the lead with less than a minute remaining to defeat the Omaha Mavericks, 77-73, Friday night at the Stan Sheriff Center.

With the victory, Hawaii moves to 11-3, the team's best start since the 2003-04 season.

Sophomore forward Isaac Fotu led UH with 26 points and eight rebounds.

Hawaii begins Big West play next week at Cal Poly.
