Local Connection: Happy New Year

By: Rick Blangiardi

Welcoming the New Year is often an ideal time for personal reflection -- a time to perhaps contemplate how each of us might be doing on the scorecard of life.

Maybe it is the quality and strength of our relationships with our families and loved ones, our health, our friends and co-workers, or perhaps our personal agendas for success and the pursuit of however we might define happiness.

We consider these important aspects of our lives while facing, no doubt, the many personal challenges and uncertainties that have simply become the "norm" for living in today's world.  The pace is fast…and getting faster.  The communication technology that exists and is readily available has altered all of our lives forever on just about every level.

Here at Hawaii News Now, all of us are very excited about the arrival of 2014.  We have made no small plans to better serve you, and we want you to know how grateful we are to all of you, for the privilege of being invited into your homes each day.  Your loyalty is an inspiration to every man and woman who works here.

We wish you a very safe and healthy new year in which all of your hopes and aspirations will be fulfilled.  Happy New Year!
