Former Kamehameha Schools teacher in court accused of sexual assault

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

A former Kamehameha Schools teacher pleaded not guilty in an Oahu courtroom Monday to sex assault charges.

Gabriel Alisna, a former speech teacher and debate coach, allegedly made recordings of students who were at his apartment preparing for debate tournaments.

A grand jury indicted Alisna earlier this month on five counts of violation of privacy and two counts of misdemeanor sexual assault.

He is free on bond and is set to go to trial in March.
