Arson suspected in early morning fire

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - An early morning fire at Club Geisha House on Kapiolani Boulevard appears to have been intentionally set, according to Honolulu Fire officials.

Honolulu Fire Department spokesman Capt. Terry Seelig says the fire broke out shortly after 4 a.m. Sunday and was extinguished within 12 minutes. Seelig says the fire was confined to the entry way of the building.

Officials say no one was in the building at the time of the blaze. No injuries were reported.

Damage to the building is estimated at $3,000.

The case has been passed to the Honolulu Police Department for further investigation.
