(RNN) - Kentucky overcame a sluggish first half with 52 points in the second half to down Belmont 93-80 Saturday afternoon.

The Wildcats (9-3) were led by Julius Randle, who had game-highs with 29 points and 10 rebounds. Aaron Harrison scored 23 points for Kentucky and nearly notched a double-double with eight boards.

Craig Bradshaw and Drew Windler led Belmont with 22 and 21 points, respectively.

The Wildcats shot just 3-of-14 on 3-pointers, but converted a string of free throws in the final minutes to seal the win.

It was Kentucky's first game since an 82-77 loss to North Carolina and the Wildcats will face rival Louisville on Dec. 28.
