May's recalls thousands of pounds of teriyaki chicken

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Palama Holdings LLC announces a voluntary recall of 10-pound retail boxes of May's Hawaii frozen Teriyaki Chicken Thighs produced 10/15/2013 and 11/05/2013.

These products were sold exclusively to Hawaii Costco Stores and the Schofield Military Barracks Commissary.  There have been no reports of illness related to the consumption of these items, and all affected resellers have been properly notified.

The only products affected in this recall are as follows:

  • 10-pound May's Hawaii "Hawaiian Style, Boneless and SkinlessTeriyaki Chicken Thighs",

UPC # 8 12916 00315 6.  These products have a code date of either 10/15/2014 or 11/05/2014.

Palama Holdings LLC issued this voluntary product recall and notified the USDA of said recall as a result of auditing within the product distribution chain that discovered potential product temperature irregularities.  Palama Holdings issued this voluntary recall as part of its long standing commitment to product quality control measures.
