LIHUE, KAUAI (HawaiiNewsNow) - A joint law enforcement investigation resulted in the arrest of child pornography suspect Zoren Mariano Tuesday in Kaumakani, Kauai.
Mariano, age 20, was living in Kaumakani Camp but is not a U.S. citizen, according to police.
He was arrested for 10 counts of Promoting Child Abuse in the second degree, and is currently being held in Police Cellblock in lieu of $100,000 bail.
Mariano is suspected of possessing pornographic images of children on various electronic devices, including multiple computers.
According to a preliminary investigation, none of the children are believed to be Kauai residents.
Police continue to investigate this case along with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Hawaii Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (HICAC) and the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney.
