KAILUA-KONA, HAWAII (HawaiiNewsNow) - Hawaii County will soon experience changes in the way tobacco sales are handled.
Mayor Billy Kenoi will hold a ceremonial signing of Bill 135 on Tuesday. Councilman Dru Mamo Kanuha and area students who advocated for the measure are also expected to attend.
Bill 135 prohibits the distribution of tobacco products, including electronic cigarettes, to people under the age of 21.
The signing takes place at 3 p.m. at the mayor's office in the West Hawaii Civic Center.
