Hawaii's hopes of advancing to the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Women's Volleyball Championship came to an abrupt end Saturday night as BYU defeated UH in straight sets (25-21, 25-17, 25-13) at the Stan Sheriff Center.
Alexa Gray led the Cougars with 13 kills and 7 blocks while UH outside hitter Emily Hartong racked up 21 kills.
UH ends the season with a 25-5 record and a share of the Big West title.
This is the second year in a row Hawaii has been eliminated in the second round.
