LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Snow forecast for this weekend in the Las Vegas Valley could lead to slick roads and tricky travel, according to weather officials.

The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for Clark, Nye and Lincoln counties from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday.

Forecasters said precipitation will develop late Saturday morning and increase in coverage through the day. They said snow levels will be at about 3,000 feet and then fall to near 2,500 feet through the day.

Meteorologists said up to two inches of snow is possible mainly on the western side of the Valley, including Summerlin and neighborhoods west of the 215 Beltway. They said the greatest accumulations will happen in grassy areas.

Area roads will become slick through the day, forecasters said. They said Highway 95 and the western part of the 215 Beltway will be impacted the most. They said Charleston Boulevard, Sahara Avenue and roads in the west end of Summerlin will also become slick.

In addition to the possibility of snow, the forecast calls for frigid temperatures for at least the next seven days.
