HANALEI, KAUAI (HawaiiNewsNow) - A man who has been identified as a bodyguard for pop musician Justin Bieber was arrested on Kauai on Thursday after allegedly assaulting a resident and damaging his camera.
County officials say a 29-year-old Kauai man was taking pictures of Bieber and his entourage jumping into the ocean from a spot known as Shipwreck's Cliff in Poipu.
Dwayne Patterson, the bodyguard, reportedly asked the Hanalei resident to delete the photos. When he refused, Patterson allegedly assaulted him and damaged the camera.
Patterson reportedly posted $3,000 dollars bail and was released. The alleged victim refused medical attention.
The incident is still under investigation.
