The Top of Waikiki showcases its Restaurant Week menu on Sunrise

The Top of Waikiki Restaurant Week Menu

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Executive Chef for Top of Waikiki Lance Kosaka and Kainoa Akina are here on Sunrise to showcase their Restaurant Week menu.  The 50 dollar set menu starts you off with a pan roasted day boat scallop on sautéed local corn and apple wood smoked bacon, balsamic and curry for the appetizer.  The entrée is the choice of either seared Ahi with Hamakua eryngi mushroom relish, kai choy sauce or miso & soy braised short ribs, sautéed corn & shrimp.  The dessert is a chocolate macadamia nut tart.

Restaurant week lasts through November 24th. More than 50 local establishments are offering special menu items and discounts. Proceeds support the Culinary Institute of the Pacific at Diamond Head, which will help to educate and inspire the next generation of culinary professionals.
