Atlanta police officers have found a missing 13-year-old girl whose parents feared had been kidnapped.

Chiquetta Carter told CBS Atlanta News that her daughter Ruqayyah Hamilton was hanging out with her grandmother Sunday as they cleaned carpets at a family-owned daycare center on Joseph E. Boone Boulevard. At about 6:45 p.m., Ruqayyah went across the street to a convenience store to buy some juice. The family called police when the girl didn't come back.

At about 11:30 p.m., Carter said, someone called her cell phone from an unlisted number. "'I have Ruqayyah,' the man said, 'And if you want her back, you're going to give me $100,000 or she's dead.'"

"I gave the phone to her daddy," Carter said. "He said, 'Who is this? Who is this?' And (the caller) said, 'You think it's a game. You think it's a game.' And he hung up."

A few minutes later, the phone rang again. Carter said she put the caller on speaker phone so that an officer could hear him.

"He was saying, 'In two minutes, if you don't come, she's dead.'"

Officers followed up on leads throughout the night and into the morning.

"I don't know where my daughter is," said Carter early Monday. "I just want her to come home. They could drop her off at a train station. They could throw her out of the car put her on a bus. Just please bring her back. I don't know what's going on. It's killing me inside."

At about 8:20 a.m. Monday, a police spokesman told CBS Atlanta News the teenager had been found in good health.

The girl's father Alfred Hamilton told CBS Atlanta News that he learned his daughter was at the Five Point MARTA station. He and an officer went there and located her on a southbound train, he said.

Detectives were interviewing the girl to try to determine if she was kidnapped or if she left the store with friends willingly.
