HONOLULU (AP) - A man killed Tuesday in a crash in Maili has been identified as a 31-year-old Waianae man.
The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports Edward Aipa died in the crash.
Honolulu police say Aipa likely was speeding at about 2 a.m. as he drove west on Paakea Road about .7 of a mile east of Maili Beach Park.
He apparently lost control of his pickup. The truck climbed the embankment, hit several boulders, struck a telephone pole and flipped.
Emergency Medical Services personnel say Aipa was dead when paramedics arrived.
Aipa is Oahu's 51st traffic death this year.
