HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The body of a 52-year-old female visitor from Japan was recovered in waters off of Kahala early Monday morning, according to Honolulu Fire Department officials.
An HFD spokesperson says a distress call involving a missing swimmer was made at around 4:30 a.m. When crews arrived at the scene, the located the body of the swimmer between 100-200 yards offshore of the Kahala Beach Park area.
The woman was reportedly last seen at some point on Sunday evening.
