Navy quarterback Keenan Reynolds racked up a career-high 226 rushing yards and accounted for five total touchdowns as the Midshipmen defeated Hawaii, 42-28, Saturday in Annapolis.
With the loss, Hawaii falls to 0-9, which is the second-worst start in school history.
The Bows fell short despite a career day from running back Joey Iosefa. Iosefa, who started his first game since suffering an injury against Nevada, racked up 191 yards on 35 carries. He also added a touchdown in the fourth quarter. His performance is the best by a UH running back since Alex Green ran for 327 yards against New Mexico State in 2010.
Quarterback Sean Schroeder had an efficient day going 29-of-33 with 246 yards passing and three touchdowns.
After a 10-day road trip, Hawaii will now return home to face San Diego State next Saturday.
