A fire on Maui involving 200 heavy equipment tires was brought under control by fire fighters shortly before 8 p.m. Saturday night.
Fire officials say it happened in Puunene at the HC&S Sugar Mill. They say the fire engulfed the area full of "scrap" tires and say it has no monetary value.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was undetermined.
