Stolen car lands upside down after toppling off Maui cliff

LAHAINA, MAUI (HawaiiNewsNow) -

A stolen vehicle apparently toppled over the edge of an ocean cliff on Maui on Friday morning, landing upside down on the rocks more than 30 feet below the road.

Maui Now reports near the incident happened at around 8 a.m. near the Mile 7 marker of the Honoapiʻilani Highway.

Maui Police Department Lt. William Juan told Maui Now that the car had been reported stolen and that there weren't any people at the scene of the incident when they responded.

The owners of the car have reportedly been informed of the incident.
