(HawaiiNewsNow) - Although electronic waste -- such as computers, keyboards and cameras -- constitutes only about 2 percent of the typical municipal solid waste stream, it nonetheless accounts for about 70 percent of the toxic waste, according to Pacific Corporate Solutions.
This is why PCS is offering free electronics recycling and pickup service for all Oahu businesses, non-profit organizations, educational institutions and government entities until the end of the year, in partnership with Sims Recycling Solutions.
Lance Furuyama, vice president of operations for PCS, joins us to explain more about the pickup.
