Aloha and Good Morning!

Here's a look at your weather forecast for today:

Light trade winds and a few windward raindrops to start your Thursday. The trades may strengthen a bit mid-day, but will likely be overruled by sea breezes this afternoon. Some interior clouds/showers may form after lunch, but not many. High in Honolulu today will be 84 degrees. North shore surf is down a bit today. NWS forecasts a mixed swell at 3-4 feet. A new, moderate NW due Sunday night. Dan Cooke will have weather updates every ten minutes.

Steve Uyehara and Grace Lee have all of your top news stories:

New traffic alert, if you're heading to Downtown Honolulu, all lanes on Bethel Street between Merchant and King streets are closed because of a water main break, according to the Board of Water Supply. We'll have constant updates on the traffic and repairs. Ramsay Wharton will be live on-scene.

Happening today, DLNR officials have shut down a beach on Maui after a shark attacked a diver. Shane Mills was diving 100 yards offshore yesterday when he said a shark sunk his teeth into his back and tore his boardshorts. He was able to swim back and drive himself to the hospital. Officials have shut down Paukukalo beach. We will stay on top of that situation this morning.

Expect more smoke for North Shore and leeward Oahu residents today. Fire crews are still battling a brushfire near Schofield Barracks. We'll keep you updated.
