A 20-year old female is in serious condition after she fell while hiking on Kaau Crater Trail.
Officials say she fell approximately 60 feet from the trail into the water shortly after 9 a.m. Saturday morning.
Honolulu Fire Department personnel airlifted the woman to Palolo Valley District Park.
Emergency Medical Services then transported her to Queen's Medical Center in serious condition. Officials say she was hiking with two friends who reportedly were escorted out of the trail.
Last weekend, 23-year old UH grad student Kaitlan Prugger died after a fall on the same trail.
