(HawaiiNewsNow) - This edition of Community Care Connection features HUGS, a nonprofit organization that serves more than 200 families each year statewide who have a child with a life threatening illness.
HUGS is non-disease specific and provides programs and services to all family members to help keep families strong and together while they care for an ill child. Some of the HUGS programs include emergency airfare, respite and family peer support nights.
Jennifer Robbins spoke with Sherri Fujimura, family service program director for HUGS, to find out more about this nonprofit.
