WAILUKU, Hawaii (AP) - A Maui shopping center has been sold.
The Maui News reports Kihei Shopping Center was purchased by Kihei Maui Associates LLC, a group of mainland investors, from an affiliate of Kimco Realty, a real estate investment trust.
The deal was completed last month.
A statement released Monday by broker Joseph C. Leonardo & Co., which represented Kihei Maui Associates, says no big changes are planned for the shopping center. Leonardo says the new owners bought the shopping center as a long-term investment.
The sale price was $7.2 million for approximately 18,000 square feet
The shopping center's anchor store, Longs Drugs, was not part of the sale.
