WESTPORT, CT (WFSB) -
A routine motor vehicle stop in Westport Monday led to several drugs and pills being seized by police from an elderly couple.
A motor vehicle ran a red light in the area of Riverside and Treadwell avenues. When the car was stopped by police, the driver admitted to having a "large quantity of marijuana" inside the vehicle.
Police arrested 73-year-old Thomas Michael Howard of Colorado Springs, CO and 65-year-old Nora Clark of Elizabeth Springs, CO.
The following items were seized by police:
144 pills marked (M362) identified as Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone 660 mg/10 mg
Three bags of marijuana and two smaller containers of marijuana (total weight 80.0g or 2.82 ounces)
Bottle of liquefied marijuana extract (total weight: 1077.0g or 2 pounds, 6 ounces)
Three syringes filled with liquid marijuana
Three plastic containers of hash (total weight: 24.8g - include plastic containers)
Metal marijuana grinder with residue
Miscellaneous marijuana smoking pipes and paraphernalia
Howard and Clark were charged with possession of narcotics, possession of controlled substance, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of narcotics not in proper container.
Both were arraigned in Norwalk Superior Court Monday morning.
