The Boston Red Sox started its postseason run Friday and Shane Victorino helped add new meaning to the phrase 'Boston Strong.'
Victorino finished with three hits and two RBIs as Boston beat the Tampa Bay Rays, 12-2, in game one of the American League Divisional Series.
The Flyin Hawaiian's first RBI single came in the bottom of the fourth inning and it completed a five-run frame to Boston up, 5-2.
He knocked in another run two at-bats later to spark a four-run eighth inning.
The St. Anthony grad finished 3-for-4 on the day, which doubles his playoff batting average from his last postseason appearance in 2011.
Game two of the series is Saturday afternoon.
