Vigilance urged after attempted luring in North Olmsted

NORTH OLMSTED, OH (WOIO) -

Police and parents on high alert after an attempted luring in North Olmsted last week.

North Olmsted Transportation informed the school that there was a suspicious person lurking around at dismissal time in the vicinity of David Drive and Lorain Road. The man was attempting to lure female students from North Olmsted Public School after they got off and stepped away from the school bus.

Police describe the suspect as having long, gray, scraggly hair.

The school bus drivers have been instructed to not let the students off of the bus and to call the police if they see a person of interest.

Police are reminding parents to discuss stranger danger with their children, as well as the importance of walking in groups.

Anyone with information is urged to call North Olmsted Police at 440-777-3535.
