HONOLULU (AP) - A Marine has been charged with murder in the Hawaii death of a tourist from Oregon.

The Marine Corps said Monday Master Sgt. Nathaniel Cosby is charged with murder and other charges, including patronizing a prostitute.

Ivanice Harris' body was found on Oahu's Leeward Coast in May. Originally from Oregon, she was visiting from Las Vegas to celebrate her 29th birthday.

An Article 32 hearing will be held Wednesday. The hearing is the military's equivalent of a preliminary hearing in civilian court, where it will be determined whether Cosby should be court-martialed.

Cosby is being held at a military detention facility in Pearl Harbor. U.S. Marine Corps Forces Pacific spokesman Chuck Little says Cosby has an appointed military attorney. But the attorney's name wasn't available.
