TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -
The trial for a Toledo man accused of two fatal shootings is set to start Monday morning.
Toledo Police say 18-year-old Traquawn Gibson shot and killed his ex-girlfriend Crejonnia "CJ" Bell in November 2012. Bell received four gunshot wounds to the head and chest. She was rushed to the hospital, but later died of her injuries.
Gibson is also accused of fatally shooting Deonta Allen in October 2012. Allen was found shot in a car and pronounced dead at the scene.
A judge ruled that the cases are related to one another, and Gibson will face one trial for both murders.
During Gibson's last court appearance, a different prosecutor took over the case. As a result, they missed sending some subpoenas and Gibson's trial was continued at the prosecution's request.
