Targeted for small business owners, the workshop alleviates the pain of hiring
SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Because just one bad hire can cause significant damage to a small business, the Hiring Coach is presenting a full day workshop about effective hiring techniques on Oct. 2, 2013. Titled, "Hire with Intention: The Soup to Nuts of Effective Hiring," the workshop will begin at 8.30 am and end at 5 p.m. It will be held in the conference room of the Oakland Chamber of Commerce, 475 14th St, Oakland, and is priced at $497.
This hiring workshop provides concrete tools for business owners to grow their business though effective hiring, to eliminate recruiting actions that waste a business owner's time and to alleviate the fear and dread that comes with hiring.
The topics to be covered include: figuring out what kind of help a business owner really needs, posting a job ad that works, screening resumes for what you can't see, the legal do's and don'ts, interview techniques that actually work, making the decision easier, putting together the offer, pre-employment checks, the new hire's first day, and setting up the new hire to excel.
"Your people are what differentiate you," said Laura Renner, the Hiring Coach. "If you aren't focused on your people, you may not be hiring people who are focused on your mission. Hiring is the stepping stone to strong business growth."
Attendees can register for this hiring workshop at: https://hiringcoachworkshop.eventbrite.com/.
The Hiring Coach offers workshops for business owners throughout the Bay Area, individual consulting and is planning to roll out a software-based solution later this year.
