Man indicted in alleged rape of 5-year-old

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

A Dayton, Ohio man was indicted Tuesday on allegations of raping a 5-year-old in Cincinnati. 

Adam Bowers, 22, has been charged with two counts of rape and one count of gross sexual imposition after an alleged incident dating back to September 2010.

According to court documents, Bowers is accused of having sexual intercourse with the child at a residence in Newtown. He was 19-years-old at the time.

A warrant was issued for his arrest, and he was taken into custody last week in Anderson Township.

Bowers is currently being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center.
