Witnesses claim dismembered body found in bag in Mililani

A couple says they found parts of a severed human body down the road from Mililani Memorial Park around 4:40 p.m. Sunday.

They stopped their truck on the side of the road to pick up empty cans when they smelled a rotting stench.

Joseph and Sheer Sotelo walked across the road to the guardrail and saw a garbage bag and other items down the side of the cliff.

"I jumped off the wall and walked down towards one tree and that's when I seen just the top half of the body. No more the bottom or the head. Only had the arm and the chest," Joseph explained.

The Honolulu Police Department is investigating.
