HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -
The U.S. Coast Guard's Pacific Strike Team is on Oahu today to work with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the State Department of Health to evaluate Honolulu Harbor and its surrounding waters following Monday's molasses spill.
This is the latest of federal resources that U.S. Senator Brian Schatz has deployed to help the State.
The Pacific Strike Team is part of the U.S. Coast Guard's National Strike Force, which are trained with responding to hazardous spills.
