(HawaiiNewsNow) - Celebrating the fifth anniversary of the Cochon555 US Tour, Cochon Island brings together five chefs and five heritage breed pigs, notable media and food champions to celebrate responsible farming and the spirit of aloha at the inaugural island expression of Cochon.
Each chef will be challenged to prepare a menu created from the entirety of heritage breed pigs for an audience of pork-loving epicureans. Participating chefs include: Mauna Kea Beach Hotel's Chef Peter Pahk; Bistro Molokini's Chef Michael Young; Pili Group's Chef Mark "Gooch" Noguchi; Celebrity; Chef Lee Anne Wong; and Town's Chef Ed Kenney.
Host Chef Peter Pahk will curate some of the finest flavors the islands have to offer at this firstever pork-centric island event. In addition to the pork feast, guests will also experience a tartare bar, ramen dishes, sustainable seafood samples, the perfect Manhattan bar, Chupito (Mezcal) Bar, the famous cheese bar, cured meats provided by Devin Lowder of When Pigs Fly Island Charcuterie Company, and beer by Anchor Brewing, reserve wines, pork-spiked desserts and more.
Pahk is in the "Sunrise" kitchen cooking up some tasty samples for Grace to try.
