CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

A former Cuyahoga County court official is headed to prison for using his position to line his own pockets.

Mark Lime was sentenced to 5 years in prison despite his plea for a second chance. Judge Kathleen Sutula called it sad day in Cuyahoga County.

Lime, 57, of Parma, held his position as Deputy Director of the Criminal Division of the Cuyahoga County Clerk of Courts from 2002 until August 2011. While employed by Cuyahoga County and working in his capacity, Lime stole approximately $8,500 in incoming bond payments. Lime was terminated from his position on September 15, 2011.

On July 25, Lime plead guilty to 18 counts of tampering with records, 18 counts of unlawful use of a computer system and one count of theft in office.
