HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Hundreds gathered at the Honolulu Hale Civic Center grounds for the First Responders Fair hosted by the City Saturday.

Emergency Medical Services and the Honolulu Fire Department were on hand to display their vehicles to attendees.

One of the most vibrant displays was a mural to educate the public about kitchen fire prevention. A group from Mid-Pacific Institute added their touch to the panel.

"It was a great opportunity to be here -- to see a lot of the professional artists here and for our guys to see what's going on here with this program," Daven Hee said, an art teacher at Mid-Pacific. "Hopefully they do this again. I understand this was the first year so it would be great if we could do this again."

The City also hosted the "Get Ready Ewa Beach" Emergency Preparedness Fair at Ewa Makai Middle School Saturday.
