LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA (HawaiiNewsNow) -

It appears that Bruno Mars has landed one of toughest gigs in the entertainment industry.

The Los Angeles Times is reporting that Bruno Mars will be tapped to perform at the halftime show at Super Bowl XLVIII and "an announcement could come as early as this Sunday."

The Hawaii native and Roosevelt graduate recently took home two moon men at the MTV Video Music Awards.  Mars was also recently named to Rolling Stone magazine's '50 Greatest Live Acts Right Now.'

Rolling Stone says,"Anyone from the age of 5 to 95 can walk out of a Bruno Mars concert feeling like the show was designed just for them."

His sophomore album "Unorthodoz Jukebox" has sold more than four million records around the world!
