HONOLULU (AP) - Honolulu authorities have identified the woman who was killed when her pickup truck slipped out of gear and ran over her.
The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reported Thursday that 46-year-old Katinia Mikaele died from her injuries.
Police say Mikaele parked her Toyota pickup on a steep driveway Wednesday afternoon while she unlocked the gate to her Ahuimanu area home.
They say she was unloading items from the truck bed when it somehow rolled toward her.
Police say the vehicle then continued rolling before hitting a nearby home.
Mikaele was taken to Queen's Medical Center in critical condition and was later pronounced dead.
