Pluorde Released, Abercrombie Meeting, Food and Wine Festival

Happy Aloha Friday! Did I mention it's Friday?!

Governor Abercrombie is meeting with House members today to discuss a same sex marriage bill. He has said in the past week that licenses could be issued as soon as next month, but there's still no word on whether he will call a special session to get the bill passed.

William Plourde has been released from OCCC overnight. He's the man charged with sexually assaulting a Sacred Hearts student. He didn't have to post bail under the state's Reinvestment Act which aims to reduce prison overcrowding. He will wear an electronic monitor.

Are you a foodie? Then, you may want to watch Sunrise today. We're giving away two tickets to tonight's Hawaii Food and Wine Festival. Each ticket is worth $1000 for the premiere event. Some of the best chefs from around the worth are ready to tantalize your palate. It's sold out. Steve and I get to meet Dominique Crenn from "Atelier Crenn" in San Francisco. There are still tickets available for the events on Saturday and Sunday.

Hope to see you!
