WASHINGTON (WFSB) -
Purina PetCare Company is recalling a limited number of bags of Purina ONE Dry Dog Food because of a possible salmonella contamination.
Officials said a limited number of 3.5-pound bags of Purina ONE beyOnd Our White Meat Chicken and Whole Barley Adult Dry Dog Food may be contaminated with salmonella.
The affected bags are labeled with a best by date of October 2014 on the bottom or back of the bag.
Consumers who have one of the bags should discontinue using the product and discard it. Contact Purina at 800-473-8546 for a refund.
No other Purina dog or cat products are effected by the recall.
