HPD officer struck after attempted murder on N. School St.

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

A Honolulu police officer was struck in the head with an unknown object Saturday night after Emergency Medical Officials found three men stabbed at the scene of an apparent fight.

The incident happened just before 11 p.m. on North School Street.

Officers were sent to the scene where they found about 50 people fighting on the street. Police discovered that a 21-year-old man had been stabbed and another man, 25, had sustained a puncture wound to his shoulder.

A police officer was trying to disperse the crowd when he was struck from behind with a dangerous instrument. The suspects are unknown at this time.

According to Emergency Medical Services, the 51-year-old officer was taken to the hospital in stable condition. EMS officials also report that three men, ages 21, 21, and 32, were all stabbed one time each at the scene, and were also taken to the hospital in stable condition.
