WAIMANALO, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - One of the motorcyclists who got into a confrontation with a driver last week, which eventually led to shots being fired in Waimanalo, was charged Friday.
21-year-old Brandon Abiva was charged with terroristic threatening in the first degree on Friday at 2 p.m.
He was released on $35,000 bail.
According to police, a woman driving along the H-3 Freeway got into a confrontation with at least three motorcyclists at around 4 p.m. Two male members of the woman's family and the motorcyclists met up in Kalanianaole Highway between Ehukai and Hinalea Streets where shots were fired.
Officers apprehended Abiva, the suspected shooter, Wednesday night after he tried to flee on foot.
