Federal police officer killed in Kaneohe motorcycle crash

KANEOHE, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

A 47-year-old police officer with the U.S. Department of Defense was killed during a motorcycle crash in Kaneohe on Sunday, according to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser.

The accident on happened Sunday afternoon on the Likelike on-ramp to the H-3 in the west-bound direction. 

Long Hyuhn was reportedly off-duty duty while riding his motorcycle just prior to the accident. He was a member of the Iron Circle Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club, according to the Star-Advertiser.

Police say Hyuhn was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

He is survived by a wife and two children.
