NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A woman who survived a terrible crash has a message for the person who caused it and then drove away.

"It sounds silly, but I don't want that person to go to jail," said Que Le from her hospital bed. "Just stop and check. That's all, you know."

Le was on her way to work on Wednesday. She was riding her motorcycle on Nolensville Pike near Tusculum when a person in a black Mustang suddenly cut her off.

She didn't have time to stop. Instead she ran into the back of the car and flipped off the bike.

The driver took off, leaving Le with a broken leg and other serious injuries.

Her family is thankful she's alive.

"The first thing I heard was she was in a motorcycle accident and then I think what happened? Is she OK?" said Jade Redding, Le's son. "I'm very glad that Mom's still here and still alive. I love you."

Metro police are investigating the crash and are looking for a black Mustang that may have damage to the rear bumper.
