HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Jurors in Christopher Deedy's trial completed a second full day deliberating a verdict in the federal agent's murder case.

They couldn't reach a decision before being dismissed at around 4 p.m.

Deedy is charged with shooting to death Kollin Elderts in the Kuhio Avenue McDonald's on Nov. 5, 2011. He said he shot Elderts in self defense.

A guilty verdict on second-degree murder carries a life sentence with the possibility for parole.

Hawaii News Now has learned that jurors have sent at least two communications to Circuit judge Karen Ahn, one Monday and one today.

The jury will reconvene Wednesday at 9 a.m.

When a verdict is reached we will carry it live on HawaiiNewsNow.com
