(HawaiiNewsNow) - The 19th annual Made in Hawaii Festival -- sponsored by First Hawaiian Bank and produced by the Hawaii Food Industry Association -- is coming to the Neal S. Blaisdell Exhbition Hall and Arena August 16 to 18. The festival will feature nearly 400 exhibitors who will showcase food products, books, gifts, apparel and jewelry, arts and crafts, produce and other home-grown products.
The event will also include live entertainment and celebrity chef cooking demonstrations. Na Hoku Hanohano Award winners bring their musical talent to the entertainment stage throughout the three-day festival as Hawaii's Hale Aina Award winning chefs heat up the stage in the Arena with cooking demonstrations and tasty samples.
Dale Coarsey, owner and designer of Hippy Chic, is one of the vendors attending the Made in Hawaii Festival. She will share her new line of "Hero" belts for men -- made from re-purposed fire hoses -- as well as women's belts. She joins Grace for some samples of what she'll be showing.
