Woman charged in Kahala Macy's robbery

KAHALA, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A woman has been charged with robbery in the second degree after he stole several items from the Kahala Macy's.

According to police, Jo Ann K. Tuifanu selected several items from the Macy's and exited the store while making no attempt to pay. A loss prevention agent stopped her outside of the Macy's store and asked her to return the items. Tuifanu refused and a physical altercation ensued which resulted in the loss prevention agent being assaulted.

Tuifanu fled the scene and was later identified and arrested Friday morning. The incident took place on July 19 just before 8 p.m.
