Argument escalates; man stabbed in the leg

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

A man was arrested early Sunday morning for assault in the second degree after an argument escalated.

22-year-old Andrew K. Kamealoha was arrested near a liquor establishment at the intersection of Piikoi Street and Young Street after two groups of men got into an argument just before 3 a.m.

Kamealoha reportedly stabbed another 22-year-old man in the leg with a knife.

The man's friends took the victim to a medical facility while the other group fled the area.

Kamealoha was subsequently arrested by patrol units. Officials say the case is pending further investigation.
