KAILUA, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) -
Power was restored to approximately 900 customers in the Enchanted Lake area Wednesday who were affected by a power outage.
Hawaiian Electric crews were able to restore power shortly after 5 p.m.
Approximately 30 customers will remain out of power until repairs to three damaged utility poles are complete. Crews estimate that those repairs will be completed at around 11 p.m.
The outage in the area began at about 2:15 p.m. when a construction truck hit power lines on Hele Street. The accident damaged three utility poles and caused an outage that originally affected an estimated 2600 customers. Hawaiian Electric crews responded and have been restoring power incrementally throughout Wednesday afternoon.
